*H3000: Saving SY99 Sequencer Song as a SMF file on 3½" DD diskette.

Step #1:	Insert an empty and formatted 3½" DD diskette into the disk drive of your SY99 Synthesizer.
Step #2:	If the SY99 Sequencer is running, stop the Sequencer by pressing [STOP].
Step #3:	Press [UTILITY], [F4] (" Disk ") and select " 03: Save To Disk ".
Step #4:	Now select " 06: MIDI File ".
Step #5:	Now select the Song you want to save as Standard MIDI file. Press [F4] " Dst " (Destination) to confirm your selection.
Step #6:	Now select the Destination File Extension Number of your Standard MIDI file. Select any free (- NEW -*) Destination and press [F7] (" Name ").
Step #7:	Press [F1] (" Clr ") and the MS-DOS file name of your Standard MIDI file. Do not use lower case or special characters. Do not proceed without entering a valid MS-DOS file name. You can not save files to subdirectories of the diskette. Press [F8] (" Go ") when ready.
Step #8:	The Standard MIDI file will now be saved to Diskette while " Now executing! " is shown on the LCD Display. Wait until " Completed! " is shown on the LCD Display.
Step #9:	Remove the 3½” Diskette from the SY99 Disk Drive

Your SY99 Sequencer Song is now stored as Standard MIDI file on the diskette.

It can be access by the DOS file name A:\FILENAME.X01, where "FILENAME" is the filename you specified in step #7 and "01" is the number you selected in step #6.

Please note: Most sequencers require Standard MIDI Files to have a special file extension

(e.g. most Sequencers running under the Microsoft® Windows™ Operating System require the file extension to be ".MID").

Open a File Manager, Explorer or use the DOS command RENAME the file:

REN A:\FILENAME.X01 A:\FILENAME.MID

Retry loading the file after you renamed it if it failed first.
