Multi

A multi consists of 16 voices, that may be accessed through the MIDI channels (0 to 15) when in multi mode. The SY99 Music Synthesizer comes with 16 preset multis that can be accessed by pressing [Multi], [Preset 1 / EL3].

Non-volatile memory

Memory contents of non-volatile memory will be backed up by the internal backup battery and will thus remain when powering off your synthesizer.

Non-Volatile memory: all ROM data, Internal Voices, Internal Multis, Samples, Synth and System Setup

Program

In terms of SY99, a program is simply a voice.

Voice

A voice consists of up to four elements (EL1 to EL4). Voices are stored in Banks (A-D)

Memory contents of volatile memory goes lost, when powering off your synthesizer, Volatile memory: Sequencer contents, non-saved Voices and Multis that are being edited
